The Yeti SB115 is a versatile short-travel trail bike that can dominate on race day or take on more demanding technical trails. This bike climbs just as well as a race-ready cross country bike but also gives you a bit extra to work with when crushing a descent. Designed to race, the SB115 is incredibly nimble and skillful on downhill portions of a trail, but it does not shy away from a flat out sprint. It is so much more than a standard cross country bike, ready to rally and fight through the hardest terrain with more speed and confidence than a standard XC machine. The Yeti SB115 gives you everything you need to fly up climbs, sprint through the flats, and dominate the descents. The Yeti SB115 frame is made with their TURQ carbon fiber. This material is their highest quality fiber for a perfect balance of stiffness and compliance. It checks all the boxes needed in a versatile trail bike. This build results in a ride that feels smooth, stable, and aggressive. Cables are internally routed, leading to virtually silent function. An incredibly lightweight carbon fiber build makes the SB115 an elite climber with the ability to challenge hardtail XC machines. TURQ carbon is also strong enough to withstand the punishment of rowdy downhill rides. The Yeti SB115 is as capable a short-travel machine as you can find. A unique geometry is incorporated in the Yeti SB115 to help it achieve its balanced set of skills. It incorporates a moderate reach to keep riders feeling stable and agile. This position allows riders to react at race speed and have full control of their bike. A low bottom bracket offers similar control on descents, as does a forward geometry. This also leads to a forward bias posture for more composure on the way down the hill. The geometry is optimized for its 29-inch DT Swiss XM1700 wheelset. The Yeti SB115 is designed to power through every aspect of a race. As its name suggests, the Yeti SB115 offers 115mm of rear travel for confident speed through the more demanding sections of a trail. This version includes a Fox Factory DPS shock. The front of the bike adds an additional 130mm of travel thanks to a Fox Factory 34 suspension fork. The suspension is centered around Yeti's Switch Infinity technology which utilizes a patented pivot which switches direction as the bike progresses through its travel. Switch Infinity creates an anti-squat curve while allowing the leverage ratio to be tuned independently. This leads to a bottomless feeling shock and outstanding pedaling performance. This version is also equipped with a Shimano XT groupset for excellent trail specific shifting at a reasonable price.
